Walk from the Valley (Almost) to The Hollywood Sign

Yes, you CAN walk to The Hollywood Sign from the Valley! On Sunday, October 2, Walk Ambassador Carey Okrand will get us pretty darn close!

This vigorous 6.5-mile walk is transit accessible. We will start at the Universal City Metro Station and end at the Hollywood/Vine Metro Station.

We'll walk to the Lake Hollywood scenic lookout, where we'll enjoy a fantastic view of The Hollywood Sign. From this scenic spot we'll head down through the Beachwood Canyon neighborhood back to the Hollywood/Vine Metro Station.

This walk is not recommended for kids or dogs. Sorry!

Don't forget water and sunscreen! Love your planet and bring your water in a reusable bottle. No Plastic water bottles, please!

About our leader: Carey Okrand is and urban hiking/walking advocate. She is the oldest woman in LA to have completed The Inman 300 twice: a 180 mile/300 public stair walk from La Canada to San Pedro. Carey is proud to be one of the oldest female stair-climbers in town!
