Go for a Wild Walk with Will Wright, Los Angeles' chief advocate for better architecture and urban design. Wild Walks have no route and no theme. We'll go where we want, see what we see, and will surely discover something along the way.
We will be meeting at Indiana Station on the Gold Line East and walk to Memorial Park Station on the Gold Line in Pasadena, which affords shorter options along that route for anyone that may want to peel off sooner than the 9.5 miles total trip.
This route traverses some unique and challenging topography (freeways, hillsides, and parts of town) quite unknown to me as a pedestrian. It will include some parks and some arroyos and some hidden pockets of urban wilderness and it will connect various socio-economic terrains. All by foot. With ample chances to get lost and ample choices to find urban splendor!
