On Thursday, October 26 at 5pm Los Angeles Walks will host an AB 390 Happy Hour to celebrate this important victory. Free drinks and snacks! Bring your crossing citation for a free giveaway! 

Earlier this month, after months of advocacy by Los Angeles Walks, Governor Brown signed Assembly Bill 390 into law. The bill clarified language in the crosswalk law, which now allows pedestrians to step off the curb to cross the street when the countdown clock shows adequate time to cross safely. (It's no longer illegal!) 

We are so grateful to Assembly Member Santiago and LA City Council Member Huizar for their leadership on this issue, and for making it legal to walk in Los Angeles!
